About Obvious Public Relations

Obvious Public Relations was founded February 2012 by Chastity P. Spencer. The company's mission is to provide
quality work and representation of the client's image. The company came about while Ms. Spencer was studying in Southern Illinois University Carbondale's undergraduate program. While composing a PR/Marketing campaign for class, it was part of an assignment to come up with your own company name. While Ms. Spencer thought about what she should name her company, she said out loud, "Well it's obvious I do PR." That's when the name of the company hit her and now here we are as a company, Obvious Public Relations.

OPR is dedicated and determined to help other artists, companies, entertainers, foundations, non-for-profit organizations etc. better their representation and marketing abilities to the public. The company stands on its three principles: Quality, Assurance, and Satisfaction. OPR wanted to be a one stop shop for client's. That is why the company does so many great aspects that come with representing clients. Ms. Spencer wanted a well-rounded business and wanted to be great at every aspect of public relations, marketing and management.

Our slogan, "It's Obvious We Care About Your Image," was made to capture our name within the saying as well as to add assurance to our client's that we do care about how they are represented and that's why we provide them with quality work, and a guaranteed satisfaction. 

Meet the Founder of OPR: 
   Chastity P. Spencer

The founder of OPR is Chastity P. Spencer. The company has been in works since 2011. Chastity has always had a passion for entertainment and management. As a child, Ms. Spencer use to line up her toys and create talk shows and movies for fun. She then took on that entertainment passion to high school at Percy L. Julian on the South-side of Chicago where she studied Radio/Television. While studying media, Ms. Spencer was involved in planning events, networking, and socializing with others. She then realized how much she loved to chat, plan, and manage events and productions outside of filming them. She had to see what the Public Relations field was like. After high school Ms.Spencer attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Radio Television and a minor in Public Relations. Chastity is now studying Professional Media and Media Management in the SIUC graduate program and will be receiving her Master's Degree December 2012.
